Moni Village, Flores

The Gateway to Kelimutu’s Three Colored Lakes

Nestled in the cool highlands of central Flores, Moni is a small and peaceful mountain village best known as the gateway to Kelimutu’s legendary three colored lakes. Surrounded by lush hills, rice fields, and forested valleys, Moni offers a quiet retreat before and after sunrise at the crater lakes.

Unlike larger towns on Flores, Moni remains relaxed and rural. Simple guesthouses, local warungs, and friendly villagers create an authentic atmosphere that reflects everyday life in the Ende region.
