A little boutique resort in the making, inside our own plantation. Our Sanda Plantation Hideout offers spectacular views over the Beji river valley, and is located 750 meters from the traditional village of Sanda. The resort is accessible via a two-track plantation road, cutting through a spectacular scenery of rice fields and plantations, with the sacred Mount Batukaru as a backdrop.
We hope to welcome you soon!

What to Do
Sanda and surroundings has plenty to offer for those who enjoy the outdoors. Of course first of all the spectacular rice fields and lush plantations surrounding our resort and covering the many valleys in the area. You can hike and explore as much as you want, as there are plenty of well-maintained trails, leading to hidden rice fields, clean rivers and waterfalls not yet on any tourist map.
Some of Bali’s most pristine rain forest is covering the nearby slopes of the dormant Batukaru volcano, Bali’s second tallest mountain, and a sacred place for the locals. A trail leads through the rain forest all the way to the summit of the mountain, home to a small but one of Bali’s most sacred temples. The summit of Batukaru is fairly flat and very open, and on a clear day you can enjoy spectacular 360 degree views over entire Bali.
If you enjoy cycling, bring your bike! There are many small roads, tracks and trails. Some perfect for a road bike, others require a mountain bike. Unfortunately there are no bikes yet for rent. If you prefer a road or trail motorbike you have plenty of options and places to explore as well, for instance Lake Tamblingan, Bratan and Buyan, the Lovina area on Bali’s north coast, the famous surf beaches in Southwest Bali and the famous Jatiluwih rice terraces are all reachable within an hour and a half drive. Wildlife enthusiasts and photographers don’t need to travel far. The plantations are home to a large variety of birds, bats, squirrels, civets, porcupine and other small mammals, reptiles, amphibians and insects. As a wildlife photographer myself I’ll be happy to give you some inside tips!
