Mongolia – A Photographic Journey Across Remote Landscapes
Mongolia is defined by distance, open space, and constant movement across land shaped by climate and tradition.
This photographic journey follows an overland route from Ulaanbaatar through central and southern Mongolia, continuing west toward some of the country’s most remote landscapes.
The route passes through the Gobi Desert, including Tsagaan Suvarga, Yoliin Am, the sand dunes of Khongoryn Els, and the Flaming Cliffs of Bayan-Zag. From there, it continues north through Ongiin Khiid and the Orkhon Valley, before reaching volcanic terrain, hot springs, and large lakes such as Khorgo Volcano, Great White Lake, Telmen Lake, Khyargas Lake, and Khar Us Lake.
These photo galleries focus on landscape, travel, and daily life along the way — from long drives and nights in gers to quiet moments in isolated regions. Each destination offers a different view of Mongolia, shaped by geography, nomadic culture, and the scale of the land itself.
