The scenery became increasingly green
The first herd of wildebeest. Were we too early…?
Golden light, almost at camp
Every morning the staff provided warm water for a quick wash
Breakfast in the bush!
The Mara River!
Waiting for wildebeest as well…
Surrounded by wildebeest!
And all of a sudden, out of nowhere…
The noise, the dust, the smell…. Spectacular!
Time to get ready.
Slowly closer to the river…
No turning back…
And then all together!
The first herd crossing the river, right in front of us!
And then…. Jump!
And first Wildebeest
The promised land…!
Also for her…!
Fresh food everywhere…
Like ants coming down the hills…
These Wildebeest were not going anywhere anymore today!
Again Topi in golden light, just before camp.
Sunrise in camp
Steenbok! That was a first…
We decided to quickly drive to the other side of the river.
And there they go…!
Getting ready for another river crossing!
The noise, the increasing dust… Goosebumps!
This time there were more spectators..! But they were too late to cross the river and watch from the Kenya side!
A very full croc!
And also this herd made it to the promised land…
To the great pleasure of these 2!
And this time ready to hunt…!
We followed these 2 cheetahs hunt for hours, but without success…
The wildebeests were clearly on guard!
And peace returned to the plains…
Back at our camp, just in time.
Complete cuteness overload…!
Almost a private jet…
The air strip and Mara River
Chris, thanks! You’re awesome!
We were just in time to catch a glimpse of one of the cubs…! How cute!
And our last evening in the bush…
